This rare, beautiful 1950s glass bowl was designed by Alfredo Barbini for Cenedese, Murano. It is hand made with layers of dark green glass and rich amber red glass which is then encased in a clear glass.The clever use of the colour means that the amber red moves and shows in different places on the bowl depending on how the light hits it. Very enchanting. It is a heavy piece which is lovely to hold. You can see the bubbles and shapes that reflect it's hand blown quality plus is carries a few light scratches which it has picked up over the last 50 plus years.
