Rise & Fall Table by JM Thomas for Wilhelm Renz
This stunning multifunctional table was designed in the 1960s by JM Thomas for the furniture company Wilhelm Renz. The table opens out as well as up so can used as a high coffee table both half or full size; and as desk or dining table both half or full size. It could even be used as a console table. The lovely rich red brown wood veneer has a high gloss finish while the foot and the hinges that open the table up are both a shiny chrome. The leg has a black finish and is where the easily usable lever which moves the table up and down is situated. In order to double the size of the table top you just have to swivel it round on the base and open it up. This is ultimate cool vintage style and function. It is in great condition for it's age with almost no marks to the surfaces - just one barely there line on the half top surface and a few marks to the edges.
